Business Beginnings

01 — Project details

Wagyu beef is new and exciting... but hard to access on the east coast. A new project is in the works as Triple 2 Farms expands to Appalachian Akaushi bringing the genetics of Japan to small towns in Central VA.

02 — Where we are in the project

When a new business venture was brought to my attention, I knew it was a passion project in the works. A local Nelson County farm has dipped their toes into the waters of Wagyu beef! I was initially asked to create a logo for this potential new branch of the farm. This turned into attending meetings, presenting ideas, and is now a full blown effort in marketing and brand building.

I was asked to attend the Akaushi convention in Fort Worth, TX to solidify knowledge on the subject and build numerous connections in the industry on behalf of the farm. Through this we were able to create a timeline for production and begin building the brand.

As Wagyu beef is a long and in depth process, we are looking at a 5 month time frame before our first sales meetings and website publishing. There is plenty to come in this project and I cannot wait to expand upon my experiences and successes with this local farm.
